There’s no single flat rate — but there is a predictable way pricing works. Here’s what actually drives the number.

Rubbish removal pricing depends on what’s actually being removed, not a category label. A “garage cleanout” could be two boxes or a full truckload — the volume and material mix matter far more than the job type on its own.
That’s why we quote from photos rather than a flat per-category rate: it’s more accurate for you, and it means you’re not paying for capacity you don’t use (the way a fixed-size skip bin charges you for the whole bin regardless of how full it ends up).
Volume — how much of a truckload your job fills — is the biggest factor. As a rough guide: a few items or boxes typically runs $120–$180, a quarter-truck load (a couch, fridge, or one room’s worth) $180–$280, a half-truck load (a garage or medium room) $280–$420, and a full truck (a full house or office clearance) $420–$650. Larger jobs needing multiple loads are quoted individually.
Access matters too — ground-floor, driveway-accessible jobs are quicker than a multi-flight walk-up with no lift, and that labour time is reflected in the quote.
Material type changes cost as well — heavier material like concrete, rubble, or plasterboard attracts different tip fees than general household waste or timber.
Photograph the full pile or space from a couple of angles, including anything partially hidden (under tarps, behind other items) — the more complete the picture, the more accurate the quote, and the less likely anything needs adjusting on the day.
Mention access details (stairs, lifts, parking) in your booking notes rather than leaving them for the driver to discover on arrival.
Will the price change on the day of collection?
If the job matches what was shown in your photos, no. If it’s materially different, we’ll always discuss it with you before proceeding — never a silent surcharge.
Is there a call-out fee just to get a quote?
No — quotes are free and based on the photos and details you provide before anything is booked.
